Hey all! My name is Julia, former college student and a home decor enthusiast who loves DIY home improvement projects and finding creative ways to decorate any living spaces on a budget. Recently moved from my dorm to my new apartment which I renovated from scratch and I am here to help you with tips & tricks about home decor/college and more 🙂

Need a stylish storage solution? Today, I’m thrilled to show you how to create a chic boho basket in just a few easy steps!

Hey there, friends!

We always need pretty storage solutions, right? And guess what? You can totally make them yourself!

Today, I’m excited to show you how to whip up a cool boho storage basket in just a few simple steps.

But first, let’s gather what we need:

  • A box (I used a shoebox)
  • Twine
  • Hot glue gun
  • Linen fabric
  • Scissors

Let’s get started! If your box has a lid, cut it off.

Next, we’ll move on to gluing and wrapping the twine.

Glue the twine at the four corners of the box for the first wrap.

Once it’s securely glued, start wrapping the twine tightly around the entire box.

Make sure to wrap it very tightly so the box doesn’t show through the twine.

Stop wrapping when you’re about an inch from the top edge. Glue the end of the twine securely and let it set.

Next, it’s time for the linen fabric. If the edges aren’t hemmed, you can do it yourself by applying hot glue along the edge and folding it over.

Let it set, then place the fabric inside the box to cover the empty space, gluing it down nicely.

Add fabric in the bottom too, and you’re done!

Now you’ve got a stylish basket that’s perfect for storing all sorts of things.

I’m planning to use mine in the bathroom as a cute holder for toilet paper.

Enjoy your new boho basket!
