Hey There

Welcome to my blog!🎉 My name is Julia, but my friends call me Jully.😊 At the age of 16, I started getting into Social Media Marketing and in particular – Instagram. It became a big passion of mine and every day I woke up thinking about how to get better in the field. Alongside this, I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and currently I am pursuing a Master’s degree in Advertising and Media Communications.🎓

After many years of perseverance and hard work, I managed to buy an apartment at the age of 22 thanks to the online businesses I have successfully developed. Having my own place was a big dream of mine that is now finally a reality and I am so happy about it!😁

The apartment needed to be renovated from the ground up and then furnished. Nevertheless, I didn’t want to hire the services of a professional interior designer, I wanted to bring the place to life myself. I have read a lot of material on the subject, experimented and I must have walked tens of kilometers going around different shops haha. But in the end, it was totally worth it because I learned a lot and I think the apartment turned out great! However, you might still be asking yourself why I started this blog, right? Read the next paragraph to get your answer⬇😉

From Apartment Life to Building a Home

From Apartment Life to Building a Home

After decorating my first apartment — a project I took on mostly by myself — I discovered how much I genuinely love creating spaces that feel personal and intentional.

My partner and I shared that apartment together, and it became our cozy little home where we learned what we liked, what worked, and what didn’t.

Now we’re taking the next big step: building our first house together.

This time, we’re planning everything side by side — combining our ideas, making big decisions, and dreaming up every room as a team.

It’s exciting, challenging, and incredibly meaningful.

Why We Chose to Build

  • We wanted a home that feels 100% “us” — built for our lifestyle.
  • Designing every room from scratch gave us total freedom.
  • We were ready for more space, more light, and a place to grow into.

Planning & Preparation

  • Selling the apartment helped us (a bit) fund this next chapter.
  • We’ve been sketching layouts, comparing finishes, and making endless mood boards together.
  • While I’ll still lead the design side (of course😄), my partner’s doing every big decision (especially when talking to builders and basically whole process)

Construction Begins!

  • Seeing the foundation poured was one of those “this is real” moments.
  • I’m sharing the process step-by-step here on the blog — from raw concrete to finished corners (hope we finish soon wow).

What You’ll See on the Blog

  • Progress updates as our home takes shape
  • Honest reflections on building a house together
  • Joint DIY projects and behind-the-scenes decisions
  • Budget tips, creative solutions, and home styling plans

My Blogging Goals

So why did I decide to start “Jully’s Place”? I always thought to myself that the whole idea of creating a site from scratch and gathering an audience to visit it regularly and read what you have to say is super cool. Therefore, I started this lifestyle blog at the beginning of June 2022 as an experiment to see if I would like the process or not. Well, I am completely hooked at this point!🤣

On “Jully’s place” you will find mainly content about home decor, college, and some other lifestyle topics. Moreover, I will show you the whole process of renovating the apartment I purchased and how I made it my new cozy home. This has been a tremendous experience for me that I will be happy to share with you.🤗

I will also write detailed articles on how my blog is developing over time to keep you updated on my progress. By making the whole process transparent to my readers I hope to inspire others to be brave and try this so exciting hobby called blogging.💕

OUR STORY SO FAR IN 20 📸 Besties… can we just tak OUR STORY SO FAR IN 20 📸

Besties… can we just take a moment?! Our little journey to this point — captured in 20 tiny shots (TWENTY!!) — and I’m literally sitting here like… who even am I right now? The way every single step feels like a whole chapter from a rom-com makeover montage?! I can’t even. 🙈

I mean… the excitement?? The TEARS?? (Yes, real ones. Streaming. Down. My. Face.) As I write this, my heart is doing cartwheels and my brain is like: girl, breathe! ❤️

And honestly, I cannot wait — LIKE, CANNOT — to make a full post about the entire process (every high, every low, every “wait, what are we even doing?” moment), and of course… THE FINISHED HOUSE. (Manifesting this reveal, okay?? ✨)

So apparently you can fall in love with a house th So apparently you can fall in love with a house that doesn’t even have walls yet..... is that a thing or just me? 😂

(concrete floors / muddy footprints / pipes sticking out of nowhere)
It’s giving: 30% chaos, 30% rain, 40% “trust the process”.

I walk through the entrance like “ok, future me, remember this” - the half bath that is just pipes, the laundry that’s still a puzzle, the pantry door where groceries will sneak in, the living room that already feels like movie night even though it’s basically a skeleton.

Then there’s the terrace view. You step out and suddenly all the noise, dirt, rain = background. Hills, trees, sky...... kind of looks like a desktop wallpaper that hasn’t fully loaded yet but I’m obsessed.

Upstairs via LADDER (gym membership who?) to bedroom / office / bedroom combo. One room for sleep, one room for work, one room for views that are honestly doing 90% of the emotional support right now.

(save this for the “before” / next time we’ll hopefully have stairs and less mud) 💭🏡✨

Second floor - DONE! ✅ I can’t even begin to tell Second floor - DONE! ✅

I can’t even begin to tell you how giddy I am right now (bursting-at-the-seams kind of excited, you know?). The moment is finally here and I get to share it with YOU my ride-or-dies! ☀️

First of all... can we talk about how the house is finally starting to look like an actual house?! (Like, is this real life or am I manifesting too hard?) And second — THE VIEW. OMG. The kind of view that makes you go “okayyyy, the wait was WORTH IT.” 📸🛠️

And yes, we kept going through the doom-and-gloom weather and the monsoon-level rain because... what’s that saying? When it rains, it pours — but make it aesthetic, right?!(Honestly, who do we think we are?) 🪜

So stay tuned, besties... the transformation era is just getting started. ✨
