This post is all about the transformation of a little dirty bathroom into a perfectly designed one.
When I first entered my future apartment and saw the bathroom… I got claustrophobic. Until the last moment, I didn’t know if I would buy the place just because of the restroom.
Luckily, when I was provided with the plans of the building I learned that one of the walls could be knocked down which will allow me to expand the space. So, we got down to business!
From A Little Dirty Bathroom To A Perfectly Designed One
1. How the Bathroom Originally Looked Like
Here are some pictures that show the bathroom before I started the renovation. It was very small, dirty and with old furniture.
2. Time to Make the Room Bigger
So, to make the room more spacious the wall was removed and I planned to enlarge the bathroom by another 5 square feet.
Maybe it doesn’t sound like much, but it made a huge difference in the end. The photos below show the process of knocking down the wall and increasing the square footage of the room.
3. New and Luxurious Design
With a little more space to operate, I started to see potential and I knew exactly what to do with it.
I decided to use marble tiles again as I did in the bedroom and the living room, but this time it will be a combination together with tiles that mimic wood, which will go under the place for taking a shower.
For the rest of the floor, I put dark gray tiles.
The combination of 3 different types of tiles looks pretty good in my opinion, don’t you think?
As a final touch, the sink and shower were chosen to be in black matte. This contributed to the fully finished look of the bathroom. For the toilet, we chose а model that has no contact with the ground and it looks very nice.
Look at the photos below that show the finished look of my new bathroom. An incredible transformation, right? I am very proud of it.😎
I hope you will appreciate this transformation and I wanted to show you that no matter how hopeless an apartment may seem at the beginning, you can always turn it into the home of your dreams with effort and a good idea and imagination!
